The Core program is the program most will associate with AYSO Soccer.  The bulk of players will participate in the Core program.

The Kickstart program is aimed at our youngest players to develop basic skills without the soccer match focus.

Core Program Age Divisions:

There are 5 Age divisions in the Rosamond AYSO Core program:

• Kickstart 3
• Kickstart 4-5
• 8U
• 10U
• 12U
• 14U

Players playing in a particular division are all within the same 2 year age range.

Player Age Definition:

A player's age is defined by the age they will be at the end of the following year.

For example:  A player turning 6 years old in September of this year will turn 7 by the end of next year and will be considered league age 7.  This will place this player into the 8-and-Under (8U) age division.  This 6 y/o player will not be playing against 8 y/o players since a player who is 8 this year will be 9 next year and will be placed in the 10U division.

Fall Season:

The Regular (Fall) season officially begins August 1st.  Team activities and practices begin at that time.  Games typically begin the weekend after Labor Day and will generally play until around Thanksgiving.  10U, 12U, & 14U teams who qualify may be invited to play Area and possibly Sectional playoff tournaments in January - March.  Individual players may be invited to play in All-Star tournaments in January - March.
